Our first visit to Millyard - hopefully not the last! We were warmly met by Bob when we arrived (Ginny was doing voluntary work) who directed us to the nearest hos'telry to watch the final game of the season - didn't go our way but the only downside of the weekend!! Our room was very pretty, well furnished and overlooked the... More

We enjoyed a superb weekend away at Wooler staying with Bob and Ginny. Millyard is a great character house which is set back from the main road so is very quiet. We had a lovely big room with crisp linen and a nice roomy ensuite with a great power shower (although the adjacent room has noisy saniflow), and also made... More

Just arrived home after stopping at Millyard House B&B for three nights. I booked this break on the strength of the reviews on TA, and everything was just as we had hoped. The room was spotlessly clean with a good sized bathroom. The breakfast in particular was one of the best we have had in a B&B. The hospitality from... More

Quite simply the best B&B in which I have ever had the good fortune to stay. Really lovely hosts, super room, stunning breakfast. Only managed one night whilst walking the St Cuthbert's Way but planning to return very soon.

We stayed at Millyard House on 24 April 2012 whilst walking the St Cuthbert's Way. We've stayed in over 40 B&B's on long distance walks and this was without doubt, the best. Why? First, Bob and Ginny welcomed us with tea and homemade blueberry muffins. They took our muddy, wet walking gear and cleaned and dried it for us. The... More

Thank you for a lovely review. Our dream guests, friendly, likeable and chatty. Really do hope to see them again. Marmite now on the breakfast table and the complementary chocs you left behind are in the post. More

Bob and Ginny made us very welcome over a cup of tea. We spent a comfortable night and after a great breakfast continued on the St Cuthbert’s Way.

We stayed with Bob and Ginny over easter weekend, as my duaghter and I stayed last year, we were warmly welcomed back, like friends. The tea and hot cross buns in the conseratory were most appreciated. The breakfasts were wonderful and set us up for the day. We look forward to seeing them again later in the year.

Walking St. Cuthbert's Way I stopped at a number of B & B's and this was without doubt the tops. From the Victoria Sponge Cake and tea on arrival to the farewell handshake Bob & Ginny have set a standard that I will compare all others with. Their enthusiasm for their adopted area was obvious as was there warm but... More

Fantastic hosts, made us feel extremely welcome. The room was very comfortable, clean and the welcome sherry was much appreciated after our drive from Leeds. Ginny and Bob had loads of local knowledge and we immediately felt at home as if they were old friends. The price was very reasonable, the breakfasts set us up for the day and we... More

After a long drive from London, I was warmly greeted on my arrival at Millyard House and I appreciated the cup of tea and chat with my hosts, Bob and Ginny. I spent an enjoyable evening chatting to a few people in a pub in the village, on the advice of Bob and Ginny. My room at Millyard House was... More
