Are you local?if the answer is no then don't bother going in this pub! Crammed snug full of unwelcoming locals and a very rude owner. We come to sea houses several times a year and there are far better places to eat and drink that don't relegate you to eating in a windowless corridor outside smelly toilets. It is not child... More

This is a beer lovers haven and good for a drink only if you can manage to avoid the rude owner who takes pride in pandering to his local tribe of loyal subjects but whose rude and boorish attitude to customers outshines the obvious potential of this place. Even the bar staff apologised on his behalf saying'sorry that's just how... More

I have stayed at the Ship over 4 times now, and still find something new each visit, the food is simple but tasty, my husband is the most fussy eater EVER! but is very happy with what he eats, the staff are very friendly, and would recommend the Alnwick whisky, sooooo strong is should have skull and bones printed on... First day trip to Seahouses and had Sunday lunch here and it was lovely! Perfectly cooked lamb and vegetables full of flavour and fresh. Apple pie to follow, gorgeous pastry and loads of apple. Very friendly service too. Olde world place but very comforting on a bleak day. More

Booked this hotel within 2 days of visit. Had lovely suite of rooms with panoramic views of Seahouses harbour. Evening meal & breakfast were both excellent. Bathroom was small, but adequate. Rooms were very clean and staff very helpful. More

The public rooms are amazing and so too was the service from most of the staff. Adequate room size and en-suite. We had stay 2 nights get the 3rd free so that made it affordable to us. Rather expensive if not taking up this offer. A brill location and good choice for breakfast. Just one member of the breakfast staff... More

The Olde Ship is a great place to stay, very convenient, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and the room we had was very cute and clean... but there is no veggie breakfast option, and very limited veggie options on the evening menu. Stay here, but if you are veggie, eat elsewhere! More

Unreservedly recommended for quality food and drink. We had dinner there twice, although booked to sleep elsewhere - and the quality was consistent. The place is comfortable, has fascinating and tasteful decors in its various spaces, has friendly and efficient staff, and serves very tasty freshly prepared food from a well designed menu coupled with well chosen and correctly served...
