Stayed here for 3 nights, having just stayed at a brilliant B&B in Alnmouth, so were hoping for another great experience. We haven't been disappointed - It has been wonderful. The house is lovely and Jane the perfect hostess. Very peaceful even with the farm close by! Not far from Rothbury. Everything we could want was there, even a piece... More

Our second visit - an excellent establishment. The owner is very kind and helpful, with good local knowledge. Pele Cottage is very comfortable and the food is lovely -nothing is too much trouble. Will be returning in the near future! More

A wonderful scenic rural location - in a small quiet hamlet. Extremely attractive characterful cottage - with comprehensive amenities. Service was truly excellent - as good as we have ever experienced, anywhere. More

We had the most wonderful stay at Pele Cottage and cannot fault it in anyway whatsoever. Bill and Jane are the most welcoming of hosts, going out of their way to make you feel welcome, their first priority at all times being to make your stay as perfect as possible. The whole accommodation is of the very finest quality and... More

We can highly recommend a visit to Pele Cottage at Wingates. The accommodation in the converted Pele Tower is really excellent with two cosy bedrooms each with luxurious bedding, a private guest sitting room with views of the Cheviot Hills and a bathroom to die for. Breakfast is served in the dining room and the ingredients for this delicious meal... More

It was an ideal venue for a family , 2 bedrooms on one landing , bathroom and small sitting room. Everything was wonderfully presented, small details such as fluffy white dressing gowns, water by the bed, the hosts were very welcoming and left cake for us every day. Highly recommended and we hope return. More

Pele Cottage is an almost perfect bed and breakfast and the only reason they haven't got five stars is because their rooms are not quite large enough to fit the criteria. Jane and Bill, the hosts are lovely people who will make you feel welcome wthout smothering you, will join you for a chat in the gazebo as you look... More

It's hard to put into words just how much we enjoyed our stay at Pele Cottage! From the moment we arrived, Jane and Bill were extremely welcoming and friendly. Their home is beautiful, set in a village that feels like it's a million miles away from anywhere yet is in a fantastic location for visiting all of Northumberland's treasures. We... More

This place was well beyond our expectations of a B&B and in fact was better than some top hotels I have stayed in. Totally agree with the other reviews which are absoulutely accurate. The setting is beautiful, quiet little village and absolutely stunning scenery. The cottage itself is imaculate, everything was clean, fresh and tidy whilst providing a warm and... More

For us the perfect B & B. Jane and Bill Cotton are friendly and hospitable hosts, who not only anticipated our every need but also provided a five star service beyond our expectations. Part of their secret is in all the extra touches: fresh flowers in the bedroom, the turn down service that welcomed us back to our room with... More
