Whilst visiting friends in Wooler at Easter we passed The Lindisfarne Inn and decided to return and stay which we did for one night at the end of May. We booked by phone and the lady could not have been more helpful and when we did arrive Anna swiftly booked us in and showed us to our room and explained... More

We have recently returned from staying here for 3 nights whilst enjoying a motorcycle tour of Northumberland. Although initially I hadn't expected it to be on the side of the A1, this was not a problem - allowing easy access to Holy Island, Seahouses and Berwick. The room was very comfortable and clean (great shower!) and the staff were all... More

We stopped at this attractive inn on a Sunday night when travelling back from Edinburgh with thoughts of enjoying a nice steak. At £15.95p each it was the most expensive meal on the menu but it was very disappointing. Totally, lacking in taste it also came very bloody even though we had asked for it to be 'medium'. The waitress... More

That was a shame to read. We get rave reviews for our food - and from a strong local following - as well as visitors and passing trade. We can only hope you return ad enjoy good food we are renowned locally for. More

When you first pull up at the Lindisfarne Inn, it seems a shame to have the building right on the A1, however there are many advantages to staying here which may not be immediately apparent. Very welcoming. Helpful, fun and professional staff who made our celebration weekend run smoothly. Comfortable clean, rooms. Quiet - could not hear traffic (rooms 17... More

Have been to the Lindisfarne Inn on three occasions recently. Staff are excellent , ambience is good always well patronised. Food is good quality pub food, service is good and friendly. Staff are well motivated by a good manager, who is very friendly and convivial. Prices are reasonable although drinks are somewhat on the high side. Overall a good dining... More

Family of 8 all had 2 courses for £136 . Food was great. The girls working were very helpful and professional. Food came quickly no waiting about for ages. Not a huge menu but you know it's all cooked fresh that was. Presentation of food was more than you would expect from a country inn.

We have just returned from our second visit to the Lindisfarne Inn and once again we were not disappointed. The management and their staff work very hard at making guests feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our bedroom was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bar area was very inviting with a lovely coal fire, giving it... More

Here is your response.. We're a little bit puzzled by the fact that if you've dined with us before, you'd surely know that our meals are served with our very popular rustic style chips. Hmmmmm. In response to your comment about your son ordering drinks, he came to the bar twice, if not thrice, and ordered a round of drinks... More

We stopped off here for a late lunch following a trip to Holy Island on our way back from Scotland. Its in a great location on the side of the A1 by the turn off to the Island.
