A brilliant stay in a house where we were made so welcome. Jill and John were delightful and nothing was too much trouble. Everything one could possibly need had been thought about and the breakfasts were something else - it would be a challenge to find better. Absolutely loved the area too. CT

Market Cross is a traditional house in the small village of Belford. The building is old (I guessing well over one hundred years old) which adds lots of character, but it is beautifully maintained and the bed rooms are quite luxurious. Jill & John friendly and welcoming. Nothing was a bother. Lots of little unexpected extras. Breakfasts beyond excellent! Hosts knowledge of the area first class. Good advice given for places to visit and for dining out. We'll certainly be back.

I cannot rate this highly enough. There was an amazing attention to every detail, even down to the linen napkins at breakfast and the complimentary Lindisfarne mead. I recommend the breakfast pancakes and accepting the lift to the nearby restaurant Black Swan.
