We enjoyed our stay here in Northumberland. Very friendly family and good food. Peaceful and quiet with comfortable beds. The outside could do with some attention.

We stayed here in a group, including a young child, to attend a wedding near by. The rooms were pleasant, reasonably priced, the breakfast nice and the setting lovely - they have chickens pigs and alpaccas which we all found very entertaining. We only wished we were staying a little longer than 1 night!
My wife & i stopped here for 3 nights at the begiining of May as it is an ideal centre for "doing" the wonderful Castles of the North East & the Farne Islands. The choice was excellent - the owners family couldn't have been nicer or more hospitable (the owners were away on holiday during our visit) the rooms in...

Overall excellent, friendly staff only too happy to help, made us feel very welcome and at home, breakfast was excellent especially the local Kippers, rooms clean and plenty of space, great location for exploring the areas (Seahouses, Alnwick etc.) Highly recommend.
I stayed at the Masons Arms, for a one night stay, as I was working in the area, on business.
I couldn't really fault the place.
The room double backed onto a patio area, with views across the fields, so it was a great place to relax and have a pint, the only noise, being the wild life!
A very...

We stayed at the Masons Arms for 1 night last Friday. We were running late because of work commitments and were worried we would miss our dinner (which was included in with the price). When we rang the Inn they said we had missed service but we could still get something off the main menu. When we arrived, checked in...

I was really impressed with masons arms. The couple that run it are really welcoming. The rooms are great and the food is excellent. We stayed as part of a feb offer for dinner, b&b and were expecting a limited menu but we were told we could have whatever we wanted! Fantastic! Couldn't recommend more.
We stayed here for one night, booked in at 2pm and we were given a lovely suite with a separate sitting room which opened out into a garden area.
Our meal was beautiful, we enjoyed all 3 courses. Good wholesome food which was thoroughly enjoyable.
The owners took their time to chat as well as giving us plenty of time...

A lovely place to stay for a relaxed few days away. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. Good value B&B with the added bonus of a restaurant on site. We dined at the restaurant both nights and the food was of good quality. Lovely family run business and would recommend it as a place to stay.
The Masons Arms is well located for an easy drive to some of Northumbria's top attractions and is only ten minutes from the town of Alnwick. The hotel seems a little tired and may be is suffering from falling trade in the recession. The Forge annex has good sized and traditional bedrooms which need a modest upgrade to keep up...
