This accommodation comes up on pretty much any search for B&Bs or Hotels in Alnwick, UK. It was dreadful. Firstly because the online adverts were completely misleading, the photos are not of the accommodation, there is no bar, no restaurant and the only room that they let out is in a converted garage. Therefore be warned - we thought we were booking a hotel, but this is not what it says on the tin! It's a very poor B&B.

The rooms were two small areas, a small double bedroom, ensuite and a small 'lounge' with a put-you-up bed thats difficult to operate.

Service was non-existant, they owners are at work during the day, so breakfast is at 8.30 or not at all (best avoided since it's Icelands best and not the 'hearty northumberland spread' as advertised). The rooms weren't serviced over the four days we stayed there and we had to request to have our breakfast dishes removed (it was a bit like cattle feeding since they opened the door at 8.30, put the food in and... more
