I stayed here for a few nights in November on business. Found it handy for the M6 and Merseyside and a quiet \ peaceful nights sleep. The gym \ pool \ spa was great and a huge bonus as its free to residents. Staff were not great the first stay but better the second. Breakfast was OK,not worth the £10... more

Stayed at this hotel as we were attending a wedding and visiting friends/family in the area. Got a good deal on the hotel's website - for the whole 6 nights , it was 2 pounds cheaper than the advertised daily tarriff rate, so really can't complain about price. But you get what you pay for. Hotel is your standard older... more

I travelled here this month and stayed with family including 2 young children. The rooms are a fair size but the finish to the place is poor particularly in the bathroom with exposed tile edges and suspiciousstains on the floor. The room doors are a real problem if anyone is trying to get a decent sleep or a long lay... more

The hotel is located just off the M6 junction, We stayed at the hotel whilst attending a wedding but the hotel is a stones thrown to the racecourse, We paid £50 for double room only. The room was air conditioned, spacious and very clean so we felt it was value for money. The hotel aslo has a bar and drinks... more

Stayed here for a couple of nights as had a series of meetings with a customer locally. The hotel is tidy, but showing its age a bit in the reception area and other communal areas. It has a decent sized pool so it was nice to be able to go for a swim in the evenings. The decor in the... more

It's not the best area in the world, and is very difficult to find - don't bliink if you are following the A580 (East Lancs Rd) because if you miss it, you are halfway to Manchester before you can turn around. Very frustrating. However, once we got into the hotel things improved considerably. One room in our reservation was the... more

We also got a cheap deal for this hotel but it was a grubby place and I wouldn't stay again. There were hairs all over the bathroom, peanuts on the floor by the side of the bed and tissues with blood on them in the bed - I kid you not. Horrid. more

I stayed here with my husband for one night to watch the last home game of the season at footie. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were great, breakfast good and the cost fantsatic. We paid £40 for the two of us for bed and breakfast, which we thought was a really good deal. We were allowed into... more

relatively recently renovated rooms and gym, however the service and food in the restaurant is exceptionally poor. Stayed on business for a week in October and, due to the lack of nearby alternatives was forced to eat in the hotel restaurant several times. Something always went wrong, with the manager always trotting out the same line about being understaffed and... more
