We were returned from our holiday abroad and decided to take stayover in York to visit it next day then. We have chosen Travelodge in Bilbrough as this was only one available in the area. I have to say never ever again stay in Travelodge. Adverts about these hotels guarantee nice experience in cheap accommodation. However this kind of experience... More

Ok for a value hotel. Nothing special but the staff are friendly & helpful and the rooms were clean. On a busy bypass so best to have a car for this hotel as you can't walk anywhere. The little chef on site wasn't the best and a little pricey but it was handy and saved driving into York. Only about... More

We booked this as a place to crash following a ball in York. It was round the corner from our friends house, well located for our journey to and from, and the premier inn accross the road was full. Having stayed at numerous premier inns i am confident that i will get a good basic, clean hotel for the night.... More

Glad I only stayed here one night. The room, which was a family room, was very small. However, the main problem was the poor state the room was in. The wall under the window was covered in damp and mould. Pillows were incredibly thin. Tiles on shower were falling off. The toilet didn't flush properly. The room smelt of damp.... More

Worst hotel we have ever stayed in, couldn't stay a second night. Linen clean but toilet dirty, shower curtain mouldy, tiles mismatched and mouldy, carpet edges not hoovered, windows mouldy and window units broken down, no trim on furniture, terrible smell in corridors, corridors not hoovered, first day nor second day. Large spring sticking out of mattress, walls dirty. Unproffessional... More

Stayed for one night, and that was more than enough, left at 07.30 the next morning as couldnt stand to stay there any longer. We paid £70 for the room, arrived 40 minutes before check in time of 3pm to be asked if we had paid for early check in (an extra £10 to check in from 12 noon). As we... More

We had a nice stay in York - we did pay £10 a night, but the room was close enough to York for fun days out. The only issue we had really was that it snowed which made everything a bit dangerous and slippy outside. There was grit about though - I just don't think we were ready for the... More

Travelodge...what has happened to you? We have been staying at your hotels for years and have always been completely satisfied but THIS one...YUK.! Staff scruffy, Rooms damp dirty, rusty, shabby, you would get nicer decor in a shed! Complained about the mould and the staff cleaned it with spray bleach and left it running down the walls...did not want to... More

Following on from the rest of the reviews I can safely say that this is the worst out of all the travelodges Ive stayed in! The rooms are grubby, the sink was unclean and the hotel looked and felt run down. I chose the hotel as it was nearest to Tadcaster where I was working but its worth taking the... More
