We spent 2 nights at the Elmfield and we wern't disappointed. Emma met us on arrival with a pot of tea and home made parkin. The room ( 4 poster) was large, clean and the bed very comfy with good views on to open country side. The breakfasts were prepared for our stated time ,therefore freshly cooked ,piping hot and... From the moment Darren met me and showed me around I was made to feel welcome. The room was very comfy and the fresh pot of tea and slice of home made cake was just what the doctor ordered. Darren and Emma made every effort to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible, and I left the following morning... More

What a fabulous place to stay. From the start we were very impressed with the warm welcome tea & home made cake. Lovely spacious room. Emma is an amazing cook and we stayed for 3 nights dinner, bed & breakfast and well and truly enjoyed every meal. We were totally overjoyed when on one of the evenings she cooked us... More

We stayed just for one night in this delightful place and wished we could have stayed longer. We were greeted by Emma, the most friendly and gracious of hosts, with a most welcome pot of tea and a slice of home made cake. She then showed us to our very spacious and well equipped room, complete with four-poster bed. The... More

This is the jewel in the North Yorkshire crown!! From the moment we were greeted by Emma, to the moment we left, the service was nothing short of excellent. Having shown us to our (fabulous) room, we were given tea and home-made cake to welcome us. Emma was so helpful, giving us advice about all the local places to eat... More

We stayed at half term with our 2 kids (7 and 4). The hotel has a "family-run" feel to it and is situated off the road to Caterick in the middle of farmland with hens, sheep and horses next to it. The quietness at nigh time is just unreal! The family who owns it are very helpful and the English... More

First class comfortable, relaxing hotel in quiet rural location at the end of a drive. An ideal base to explore the moors, dales and surrounding area. Excellent breakfast with local produce. Evening dinner menu by prior arrangement, otherwise a selection of pubs and restaurants are available in the surrounding villages.
