This is the 2nd time we've visited and on both occasions the atmosphere, room, food and service were exceptional. The room was clean, practical and comfortable with a huge en-suite. The food is exceptional and equals that from many top restaurants and is complimented by an extensive wine list, I personally would highly recommend the Gevery Chambertin if your budget... More

We stayed three nights to do some cycling and couldn’t fault it. (The weather could have been better so we didn't get much cycling done.) The owners were friendly and welcoming without out being intrusive. The food was superb (and vegetables tasting like they should). The restaurant was very busy on the Friday and Saturday night but the service was... More

Three of us stayed a night here after having had several beers and a great meal previously. On the food and drink front we weren't disappointed. It has a great atmosphere, and the restaurant is obviously very popular. The rooms are comfortable, although our shower was either very hot or just cool. This was really the only niggle. The staff... stayed here 4.3.12 for one night. Had the twin room(family room). Nicely decorated and clean. Not the best shower but worked ok. Great evening meal and service, really friendly staff, lovely breakfast to start the day. Took 20mins to walk down to the falls through the fields, would stay here again

Stayed with my wife for two nights over the weekend. Our room was comfortable with a four poster bed and large shower/toilet area en-suite. We decided to eat at the restaurant on our first evening and enjoyed the experience (especially the starters). Good choice of beer and wines. The hotel is in a good location for exploring the countryside and... More

A very short and last minute trip to the Yorkshire Dales last week was well rewarded. We were lucky enough to grab a late bargain (£70 for room and breakfast in a four poster bed) And what a bed! Roomy, comfortable and the room and bathroom were warm, of an adequate size and well equipped. The staff, as previously reviewed,... More

After picking this place at random for a short break during 2010 we had no hesitation in going back again during 2011. Exactly the same room as the previous year (took the dog again so I assume we got the designated dog friendly room !) Good value for money and ate in the pub both nights of our stay. The... More
