Recently stayed there on a groupon offer, what can we say superb , the food exceptional the staff friendly and passionate about their jobs. An amazing experience . The food was a series of stories , each one better than the last and the delivery was superb . Each meal was prepared by someone who is passionate about food, the... More

We visited here after getting an offer on the internet. We had a fantastic night. The service was absolutly brilliant they know who you were and didnt have to give your name again after checking in. It would be nice if the staff showed a little more personality and engaged in conversation a little more personallybut they were very proffessional... More

this was our 4th visit other 3 were superb, and were deemed as good value for money. This time we were very disappointed with the food - fried white bait, shrimps, etc nothing at all is worth a mention or was particularly good and service on a saturday night was not as attentive as usual. The cheese course was not... More

Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your evening with us on Saturday. I am quite surprised to learn this as I spoke with everyone on the evening in question and all guests were very happy. I would ask that you contact me directly at reception@winteringhamfields.co.uk to elaborate a little further so that... More

We have been several times on special occasions with no expense spared. On this occasion we saw a menu advertised called the 'one mile menu' which seemed good value. We booked in last minute telling the telephonist we wanted to use that menu. We arrived, had some drinks and were presented with two menus but not the one advertised. I... More

Thank you for your review. I do apologise for the confusion with the menu, this has now been rectified on our website to be clearer, as it was the lunch menu that was detailed under the "One Mile Menu" header which is why it was unavailable on the evening in question. Our lunch and evening menus all include many dishes... More

As previous reviewers have said we bought a deal on Groupon which made this stay very reasonably priced at £149 for the taster menu and overnight stay. (Although whilst there we spent £100 + on drinks for the two of us). The welcome was very warm by the General Manager and he promptly showed us to our room. The room... More

Taking up an offer we returned to Wnteringham for the second time, this time with accommodation. We were housed in an annex some 200 yards away from the main restaurant building in a ground floor room. The sound proofing in the room was clearly not aimed at deading the troupe of performing elephants in the room above who were practicing their... Booked this after getting a deal on the internet. Checked in, in the afternoon and was shown to the Robert Marmiam room in the main house. Lovely room with great comfy bed, walk in shower and seperate walk in dressing room. Decided to pay the extra and have the 10 course Menu Suprise. Was not dissapointed. The food was absolutely... The food at winteringham fields pretty much tops anything we've ever had before...the hotel experience however was a little disappointing.. I know it's a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel but at 220 per room I would expect more Having said that... Finances permitting i'd go back in a heartbeat :)

We took advantage of an internet deal to eat and stay overnight, we are so glad we did. The service and friendliness from the staff was impeccable. On arrival we were greeted and taken to our room, which was the "Dick Turpin" themed room. The bed was big and comfortable and the bathroom was out of hollywood! This is just... More

We were lucky enough to obtain a special discount on the Internet, which enabled us to take advantage of one night’s accommodation and evening meal at Winteringham Fields. We had previously seen this restaurant on the Gordon Ramsay ‘Best British Restaurant’, and were therefore both keen to try it. We booked our accommodation in October 2011 and had to wait... More
