Stayed at the Downs last week whilst on business. Very clean and tidyand great price too. Allen is a great host and very helpful with local knowledge. Fantastic breakfast in the morning . Will definitely be returning.

The proprietor goes out of his way to make you feel welcome, and the room is clean and comfortable. Shame it isn't en-suite, but, hey, for the price, it is excellent. Really good breakfast, made to your specification. He even obtained Lincolnshire sausages for me! Would definitely stay again.

The rooms are cosy and clean. The Main Town Centre and Train Station only a few minutes walk. There are plenty of takeaways within short walking distance and even a supermarket. The breakfast is a good way to start the day and is made to your preferences. Allan is a friendly host willing to offer travel and sight seeing advice.
