Great little hotel set in a fantastic location just 10mins walk from Melton Mowbray centre. I stayed just one night in May 2012 and couldnt really fault the place. I only had a single room (6) but it was more than adequate for my needs, and the bathroom was huge. Great plus is the free wifi in the room. Even... More

The Sysonby is a fantastic hotel, good value, good quality and with friendly and helpful staff. I use the Sysonby whenever I am in the area and would not consider using anywhere else. The relaxed atmosphere and the traditional bar, dining room and lounge all with extended views over the countryside provide a really nice ambiance.

This place doesn't have a huge amount of curb appeal but on our recent stay we couldn't have asked for better service and a more comfortable room. The breakfast was very tasty and served quickly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel gardens go right up to the rivers edge and this is a lovely place to walk in... More

We have just come back from a stay with our son and two dogs (shih-tzu and scottie) and had and absolutely wonderful time. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay a good one. We ate in the restaurant where the food was of a very high standard. (For cheese lovers I can... More

I cycled 100 miles from Market Weighton as part of my training for a charity Event I was wet, cold, tired n starving and looked like a vagrant. On arrival I,was greated by Vicky, who was so helpful. Took care of my bike, showed me to my warm room, and made me feel very welcome. The food service and atmosphere was... More

just back from a 2 night break at this hotel. Lovely, friendly staff - It would be nice if they had name badges though. Dinners were excellent. Beautiful fresh food, cooked to perfection, Breaksfast was good two; with eggs cooked perfectly - the scrambles were the best I've had in a hotel. large comfortable room. my only issue would be... Stayed one night. Made very welcome. Including our young staffy. Rooms comfortable. Encouraged to enjoy gardens. Breakfast good using fresh produce. Staff made the stay, so that if we are in area we would come back.
