One of the best pubs in the area for food. Never had a bad meal here - also the staff are a credit to the place. More

Stayed one night with my boyfriend and parents in December 2011. Included in our stay was accommodation, 3-course evening meal and breakfast and it was extremely good value for money. Rooms: We stayed in Room 5 which is one of 2 in the attic (second floor). Decorated beautifully and very comfortable. Toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities, cable tv and hairdryer. My... More

We stayed here as a mini honeymoon after our wedding. We stayed 2 nights with breakfast and 3 course evening meal included, and it came in at just under £200 all in. I think this was great value, the food was beautiful, lots of choice, and there is no catch, you really can order anything. The rooms were nice and... More

We stayed for two weekend nights in room 1 in mid November 2011. We were up for a wedding so just used the room for getting ready / sleeping and eating breakfast. We paid £65 per night for B&B which is good value and it is a better place than you usually get for £65 but not hugely so -... More

We were happy with the room we had at the Waddington Arms. For sixty five quid,we had a good sized bedroom with a comfortable bed, simply decorated with a seemingly newly refurbished bathroom containing that walkers' essential,a bath with a good supply of hot water. That the shower over the bath was distinctly underpowered was a disappointment. The counterintuitive arrangement of the bedroom... More

Had lunch at this cosy venue numerous times, always a warm welcome with ( when warranted) a lovely log fire ! Top end prices (as already stated) but freshly prepared and using local produce, even the the real ales and wines ! Good choice of food and also a daily 'specials board' All in all a very comfortable dining experience... More

The food at this pub is some of the best food i have eaten in a very long time. The service and mood orchestrated by the Bar manager is great. If I ever find myself in this area again I will be sure to visit this pub again. More

Had a meal for three at the Waddington Arms. A good selection of food available. Cost probably at the top end of the price scale for what you might expect to see in a pub (£13.95 for Sea Bass, £10.95 for Steak & Ale Pie, £9.45 Bangers & mash) but well prepared and tasty. Steak and Ale pie served with... More

My 85 year old mother in law and her 83 year old friend, stayed the weekend here, while celebrating her 85th birthday. As the Birthday Party was at Mitton Hall, they recommended the Waddington Arms, he Mitton Hall was full with a wedding. I was a little concerned at the prospect of two old ladies in their 80s staying here... More
