Our family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children stayed here for 1 night in September 2011. We stayed in the main lodge. Our room was upstairs and was on the small side as was the tiny bathroom. The walls are thin and the corridor poorly lit. From the moment we arrived, I felt we were intruding and a... More

Travelling with a group of 12 on our annual car club event. This is the second time we have visited Middle Flass and was as equally as enjoyable as our first in 2009. The rooms are very clean, tidy and well decorated plus very efficient heating! The service and food was all very good. Thank you Joan & Nigel for... More

Have stayed and eaten at Middle Flass several times both with our family and on our own. It is extremely welcoming and the owners clearly enjoy meeting their guests. It has a lot of character and if you choose to eat in, the food is traditional, excellent quality, very well cooked and presented. To complement it there is a very good... More

This Guest House is such good value for money. Comfortable, clean, welcoming (coffee and scones on arrival!!) - and in a pretty setting. Hard to find, but well worth the effort. Should you wish an evening meal you're in for a treat. Nigel is a first class chef. We've been many times, and will continue to use this as a... More

My partner and I have literally just returned from our 2 night stay at Middle Flass Lodge and can highly recommend it. We were greeted after a somewhat fraught journey by Joan and Nigel who immediately put us at ease and gave us our coffee and cake. Whilst both were fabulous, as the driver I can tell you the coffee... More

Needed a quiet, relaxing weekend and this was exactly it, with the addition of great hosts and great food. Couldn't fault it and it would be churlish to try. Also, nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, and tea and cakes on arrival was very welcome indeed. The breakfasts are excellent with plenty of choice. The location is fantastic... More

We have just returned from an overnight stay at Middle Flass. We, and our friends have stayed here many times over the last few years, and hope to return for many more. We always strive to arrive within the given time frame and have been welcomed warmly by Joan & Nigel (with tea and cake) on all occasions. Middle Flass... More

We arrived at middle flass lodge With an over exuberant lady whom at first seemed polite. However, after asking questions about the rooms and prices (as they did not reflect or agree with the prices on the website) she became very obnoxious and off hand. We then told her that we would look elsewhere first and will probably back. She... More

We stayed here for a bike race, I would not stay again . Location was convenient but that was all it had going for it. I have stayed in a lot of B+B's and usually find them comfortable and much nicer than a hotel.... not here! Our double room was 68.50 would have been OK if paying anything less than... More

We stayed at Middle Flass Lodge when attending a local wedding, and enjoyed stop. The rooms are lovely (we stayed in the annex), and we slept well. We ate out both nights, so can't comment on the evening meals. The lodge is in an attractive countryside setting. Breakfast was delicious. The only criticism of the whole place I would have... More
