A lot of care and attention has certainly gone into decorating the rooms at the Gallery House - light, spotlessly clean, airy and modern, our room was a pleasure to stay in.
There are three bedrooms (2 doubles and a single) on the first floor of a detached house, off a small landing. Our double had a shower and hand-basin right in the room (not screened off), but there is a gorgeous bathroom (shared between the three rooms) and a separate WC (again shared). We were the only guests, but I can imagine it may feel a little crowded if all rooms are occupied.
The location is central and convenient - just a few minutes from the high street, near lovely restuarants (try Wheelers, for sure). This is very much a town B&B - don't expect sea views. The trainline does run at the back of the house, and although our bedroom faced it, it was not at all a problem - it is far enough away, separated by a strip of green land, and trains are infrequent, so noise was not an...
