Upon arrival the staff were attentive and friendly. The Bar and Restaurant - recently refurbished very tastefully keeping the original features of Letchworth Hall. The food was extremely good and service in the restaurant was wonderful. The ground around the Hotel (although in a remote location) were charming and relaxing and very well kept. more

While this is a nice enough venue, it feels overwhelmingly like a wedding factory. The nice bits stop at the threshold of the camera shot. Rooms are average for the cost, bathrooms are a little fiddly due to the gimmicky fittings. Over al though, it was the clueless-ness of the staff that made an impression. We stayed one night while attending a wedding elsewhere. Refurbishment was continuing,but did not affect us.. The room was large, comfortable, well equipped and recently decorated. There was an apologetic letter about noise from events at the hotel, but we didn't hear any - perhaps we were lucky. Breakfast and service was good. Staff were friendly. I stayed at Letchworth Hall for 2 nights last week and was pleasently suprised after reading other reports on this site. The hotel is currenlty being refurbished but the new style room I stayed in was wonderful. The grounds are spectacular and the food was very good indeed well worth trying. Impressed by the website, we decided to check in early to spend time using the facilities during the afternoon until the evening do. Letchworth Hall Hotel is currently in the middle of refurbishment. That means I'm prepared to forgive those things that can be forgiven. So the stairs to our room not being carpeted was 'ok' because we'd been warned to expect this. However the various door frames we stumbled over due to a lack of carpet was not appreciated in the slightest.... more
