I went here recently for a cream tea with 3 friends. I was inially disappointed as I had telephoned to see if I needed to book a table and was told 'no need'. When I arrived I was informed that there were no tables 'did I book?' Not a good start. However, the staff were really helpful and suggested that... more

I have spent a week each month at the grove recently and unlike most reviews, have done so for business, since the meetings I need to attend are ten-minutes drive away. I feel I know the hotel very well. What I like: - Beautiful grounds – assuming the weather is good (not always the case in the UK), you can... more

Stayed in west wing, rooms were okay - good size, with nice technie amenities; Large bathroom but pretty average (considering the price!); use of spa included, as was the outdoor pool, croquet and bocce ball. Golf was very expensive. Glasshouse was an average buffet (ditto for breakfast) - it was fine, but just nothing to write home about. Staff was... more

My husband and I were so looking forward to our stay at the Grove as we had organised for our toddler to stay behind with family so we could have some much needed rest and relaxation. Unfortuantely this was not to be the place for this sort of weekend.. The hotel has beautiful grounds and some lovely areas for sitting... more

I attended the Bikini Boot camp with my sister and right from our arrival staff were very welcoming and everyone was genuinely smiling. Valet parking swift and easy. Our room was a standard room which as a twin did not work as beds could not be separated with a bedside cabinet in between and the window did not open enough... more

We attended The Glasshouse as a family group to celebrate a special occasion. I can't say I came away feeling anything other than mugged. Service was poor, supercilious, and slow - given that all they had to provide us with was drinks (and the restaurant was only a third full), they were hardly rushed off their feet. Admittedly though, it... more

Fantastic hotel, full of nice touches and great imagination shown in how to indulge your residents. We didn't know a huge amount about the hotel before staying and were constantly pleasantly surprised at the facilities and style of The Grove. Would recommend to anyone. Great food, stylish lounges and excellent facilities to pass the time (too bad we went in... more

Second stay at this outstanding hotel. Pricey but well worth it for special occasions. Spa is something else, vitality pool is amazing as are all the swimming facilities. Clean and immaculate. Rooms are also top quality, great view of gardens. Plasma tv is awesome! Food at the glass house and stables is quality as are the staff in all areas... more

We spend a long weekend at The Grove, and with the lovely weather at the begin of July we enjoyed the little hidden beach with the swimming pool and beach area. Lovely park and golf course, and really a place to relax with the spa aswell. But a few things are to complain: -The coffee is just horrile, what ever... more

We stayed at the Grove for 2 nights over the 2nd Bank Holiday in May 2009. We were very impressed. It is a beautiful hotel set in stunning grounds and the facilities are second to none, including a superb kid's club. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was even a box of toys in our room to entertain our... more
