We spent a single night here as I had a low season voucher as a birthday gift to use up. We were in the Henry Adams wing so the dogs could be with us. This is the newer build. It was very comfortable. We loved the little food and drink treats left for us with a generous supply of quality...

Nowhere else quite like it with its historic setting in what was a napoleonic era shipbuilding centre. The 'Master Builder' was shipbuilder Henry Adams and the historic part of the hotel was his house.
Bucklers Hard is in the New Forest and the hotel overlooks the Beaulieu river. There are many other interesting places not far away.

We arrived at this lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings and were informed that we had been upgraded to the attic room in the main house for our overnight stay.
We had a very pleasant day exploring the surrounding area and a comfortable night in our room. The following day we went down to breakfast and were ticked in from a...

Although this incident happened some 9 months ago, it remains nonetheless deeply regrettable and unsolved. There is a safe at reception where guests may deposit their valuables if they wish, but in our off-the-beaten-track countryside location security issues are fortunately extremely rare.

I complained and was told I was not alone, after 30 minutes I was moved to room 31 which was compact with low ceiling and sloping walls and I kept bruising my head against the fire detector!...

We stayed here in January for a post-Christmas restorative break.
The setting is wonderful, overlooking the Beaulieu River by an oxbow meander where the watercourse wanders through lakelets and marshy land which seem popular with birdlife. There's a marina just by the hotel and Buckers Hard Village & Museum just beyond it, harking back to maritime life in Nelson's time....

Stayed here in autumn. A very picturesque location looking over the estuary with lots of boats and yatchs. Room was clean and well decorated. Very good food in restaurant and characterful bar. A pleasant walk into Bulieu along the river and in woods ( Just long enough to feel you have had some exercise)

This hotel and its restaurants are a hidden treasure. Hidden beside a river inthe depths of the New Forest the rooms are simple and yet every need is catered for are exceeded. The food is uniformally excellent and well cooked; Great steaks and fish, mega breakfast that sets you up for any day you may choose.
Families seem very welcome...
