A very warm and relaxed welcome from Jane into her lovely house and garden. Great breakfast (including eggs from her own happy chickens) and an extremely comfortable room. Real attention to detail. Peaceful location close to both Jane Austen's house in Chawton and Gilbert White's house in Selborne. more
I had booked Quinhay Farmhouse B&B for myself and my bridesmaids to stay in the night before my wedding in Petersfield and also for myself and husband to stay at on the night of our wedding.
From the moment we got to the B&B, I felt welcomed, relaxed and at home. Jane is the most wonderful "landlady", doing everything she could to make us feel comfortable. The house is clean, beautiful and spacious and the rooms like wise. Our en-suite facilities were perfect for 4 girls battling mirrors and getting ready space!
The small touches Jane gives really do make a difference - a bevvy of lovely toiletries to use if you have forgotten something, different biscuits, snacks and tea and coffee making facilities to tuck into. The grounds are beautiful and the guest's lounge spacious to relax in.
The best bit however has to be the breakfast...I have never been anywhere that gives you such a morning feast. The beautiful boiled eggs and crossaints were not done...
