Arriving at 1.30am we had been assured following an earlier phone call that everything would be fine, so we made our way to reception, jaded after five hours driving. We had booked two rooms and the night manager found the booking. However, he then took 20 minutes to actually find two rooms we could use. The first room we were... More

Cheap, convenient, clean-ish, friendly staff. That's it. Broken towel rail with sharp edge ? Large room. Really needs renovating, you won't want to take your shoes off. Maybe people only stay a short time, I mean a very short time ...

You don't expect much from a Travelodge but even taking that into consideration I would give this a poor mark. The staff are vile and all converge in reception and stare at you as you go in and out. They seemed to spend their entire shift loitering there which explained why the hotel was SUCH a dump. The hallways were... More

When I arrived to my room there was no towels in the bathroom apart from a dirty one lying strewn on the floor. I had to go to reception to get some new towels. The room was so cold during the night, even with the heater on, I slept with clothes on and was still cold. There also was what... More

I didn't think places like this were able to exist anymore... there wasn't a receptionist when I checked in... one of the cleaners checked me in. The first room I was given hadn't been cleaned and the second room didn't have any mugs... and they didn't have any clean mugs.... I was a bit lost for words at that point.... More

Didn't look too bad on entering our room. Nice clean sheets & towels. Thick dust and dirt around door to bathroom and in corners of bathroom. So much dust on the extractor fan it was a wonder it worked. No plugs in either sink or bath and when asked for one at reception were given one black with mould. Poor... More

Stayed here for one night for a work booking and it was an awful experience. OK, it might only be £25 per night, but the room stank of vomit, the sofa bed was covered in stains, the floor filthy, the TV only had 3 channels, the smoke for the people smoking outside wafted in, there were people drinking at the... After booking this hotel for a stop off i decided to read up on the reviews of it. I must say that after reading these reviews i was extremely apprehensive about visiting and almost chose another, more expensive b & b. I'm glad i didn't. Yes the rooms and overall hotel are basic but what more do you want for... More

Myself, my husband and granddaughter stayed on the £12 per night deal in a family room on the ground floor. The travelodge is on the A3 and I must admit there wasn't much traffic noise but it was bank holiday so this may change on a weekday. The room was greatly in need of a refurbishment as it was dated... More
