We travelled to the hotel on Friday 11/5/2012 for a 2 night stay with friends, the bar was doing a special on Murphy's beer for £ 1.50 per pint, the sign said as long as stock lasts. On Saturday night we had 1 pint at the price on the board £1.50 when we went back for a second pint the price went... More

Myself, my sister and my parents stayed in the hotel over the Easter break 2012. We did have a lovely holiday, however wished we'd asked for a map of the inside of the hotel. If you don't like steps, avoid at all costs. The hotel is like a maze, and we ended up walking miles to get to our rooms.... More

We recently stayed at this hotel for an all inclusive weekend and as have other reviews say it is fairly isolated if you have not got your own transport. Our room was clean and reasonably comfortable although the decor was a little tired and needed updating, the TV was almost vintage. The bath panel was loose and inadequately repaired with... More

We stayed here for long weekend with friends to tour the Cotswolds as independant travellers, but were very surprised at the distance we had to travel to view this lovely area. The reception was very nice and receptionist friendly. Our room was at the back of the hotel on the first floor overlooking a grassy lawn and fields and was... More

Stayed here with a walking group for 3 nights-a repeat visit from last year.Extremely good value for money and an ideal place to stay. There was plenty of space in the double bedroom and everything was clean-only downside (nitpicking) was that the washbasin had a crack in it-should be replaced. Also the bathtowels were quite small and when they were... More

I have nothing but praise for this hotel. Apart from getting lost finding some of the public rooms occasionally, everything was spot on, good food, very friendly staff and enjoyable entertainment on two evenings plus a warm and comfortable bedroom, what more do you want from a coach holiday.I went with my wife, daughter and son-in-law and enjoyed it from... I have just returned from an all inclusive weekend at the Prince of Wales and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think people who moan about this hotel, must expect more for the pennies they pay. This is our 3rd year staying at a Shearings hotel and the room this year was the best yet. The breakfast was all you could want!... More

We stayed for nine nights as independent self drive travellers and were very pleased that we had chosen this hotel as it offers excellent value for money. All staff are friendly and helpful; rooms are clean and comfortable; good food with a varied menu (three courses, different choices each night) and public areas are comfortable. The hotel is a convenient... More
