We stayed here for a wedding in May 2012. This is more like a motel than a hotel, most of the rooms are in separate buildings located around the complex. We were in room 332, it is run down, old fashioned and smells. This cramped little room it fitted out with tired looking fixtures, the window locks are broken and... More

First impressions at the reception are ok and seeing the bar area it looked acceptable. However, when we went to our room and walked in we were knocked back by the horrible damp musty smell. As we were only going to be sleeping for one night we thought we just couldn't be bothered to ask for another room. BUT be... More

Stayed here for a wedding down the road agree with other tripadvisor ratings, the place had a musty damp smell but in my case the rooms were like it as well. The place said 24 hour bar came back from the wedding and the bar was closed due to a gypsy wedding and yes just like the TV young girls... More

We stayed at the hotel primarily as we were attending a wedding reception held there. The first thing that hits you is the musty damp smell in the corridors leading to the rooms. The rooms were ok, if a little cramped but the bathroom was interesting. The taps were so close to the edge of the basin it was impossible... More

The first impression of this hotel was tired, needed some TLC and a good clean. The receptionist was very welcoming. The rooms are dire, they are like Butlin's chalets, very small and not part of the hotel, but part of 'outbuildings' with no WIFI in the room. My bathroom was grimy and the windows were filthy, I was glad I... More

Arrived, parked easily and was greeted nicely and efficiently at reception. We had Room 606 which was spacious, warm, with a comfortable kingsize bed and plenty of storage. Only complaints about the room was the TV being very small (compared to Travelodge/Premier Inn) and was stuck on a stand in the middle of the floor, also the bath had been... More

We stayed in this hotel as we attended a wedding down the road, the hotel is ok, quite comfortable, but old and needs an update. We didnt use the leisure facilities so I couldnt comment on those. They seemed fairly short staffed though. Overall distinctly average - apart from the breakfast was nice.

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel as it was close to the location of the wedding we were attending and also due to the fact, a normal, non-cheap, non-chain brand hotel was giving very reasonable rates. However, following check0in in the modern reception and grabbing a drink at the bar, the hotel really was very disappointing, the rooms the... More

I was so disappointed when I arrived at this Hotel!!! We only booked two nights as we was attending a wedding at Braxton Park. I wished I had checked the reviews before booking. I refused to go into the first room we were shown as on opening the door I was hit by a waft of foul damp and mouldy... More

ONE NIGHT IN WITHAM My godson’s wedding was to take place on a Monday afternoon in Witham, Essex. As my husband wanted to be able to have a drink at the wedding we decided that instead of booking a taxi we might as well book rooms at a nearby hotel, enabling my husband to drive there on the day and...
