Stayed here for one night (9th Feb) and having stayed in many Travelodges over the years, I think this was one of the cleanest and nicest. There were no car parking charges and although untried, there was a very pleasant looking restaurant off to the side of reception with a varied menu which offers a special deal on one meal... More

We stayed at this travelodge for one night in January 2012. We stayed in a family room which was very clean and all the bedding etc was already in the room (sometimes we find it isn't!). The travelodge is set back away from the main road and was really quiet, they quote on the website that parking is charged at... More

Friday night stay after wedding, late arrival. Service: Adequate and efficient. Room: Size of the room was adequate. Extremely basic with 14" TV. Coffee/Tea making facilities. Not the cleanliest place we have stayed and certainly in need of refurbishment but we only paid £29 for the night so did not expect much more. Had I paid more, I would be... More

We have stayed here a couple of times prior to early morning flights from Stansted. Hotel is very basic but clean and staff pleasant. You can get food and drink also if you want it in the bar/restaurant as it is not worth going into Dunmow. However, they don't do early morning calls so don't forget your alarm clock. Good... More

Very disappointed with this place. We've stayed at Travelodges in the UK before and have found them to be perfectly fine (at the very least) when you want an inexpensive room. This location was less than fine. We stayed here to be central to a wedding in the area. The rooms are tired and not clean. I booked on line... More

We arrived 9:45 pm & the man on the desk advised us to order our meal before going to our rooms which we did.The rooms were of Travelodge standard,The helpfulness of the staff made this the best Travelodge we have stayed in up to now.The food was good & more importantly excellently presented. Most importantly was the service.Well done to you... Another decent travelodge. Stayed here before a 6.30am flight to hamburg. Good little bar and all you need from a traveldoge! Think I paid about £15 so a true bargain! PS- No alarm clock last time I stayed there so make sure you set your phone!

There seems to only be a B road between this Travelodge and for example Chelmsford. That means this Travelodge is not a good choice if you need to be in Chelmsford. It has a Bar Cafe and the usual vending machine. Car park is quite good and free now. There's a modern police station next door, when you see it... More

We enjoyed our stay very much . No remote control for the tv. ( Perhaps a small deposit on a remote control would stop people 'taking' them!). We had to supply a waste bag for the bin, but generally , Travelodge is well stocked. No traffic noise. Cafe on site,>> but didnt use it. I will stay there again. The... More
