Dirty rooms looks like they only make beds and a quick tidy, cobwebs all over, however it gets 5 stars for the worst bed i have ever slept in, could not get to sleep at all, blood stain on wall, over priced food and drink, not to mention unfriendly staff, avoid at all costs even if its free!!

We stopped at the Miami whilst visiting friends in the area and this is the closest hotel to them. Accommodation was basic and dated but clean, with a bed that was not particularly uncomfortable - although the pillows were very thin and cheap. Reception staff seemed pleasant and room had tv and tea/coffee making facility. The shower trickled rather than... More

Booked this hotel for family that came to visit. We cannot fault the staff all were very friendly and helpful. The hotel though a little dated was clean and well presented at a reasonable price (have paid a lot more at other hotels of a much lower standard). Would reccommend if you are staying in Chelmsford

Stayed here several years ago. Facilities and rooms were dated then and clearly nothing has changed (judging by recent reviews). Staff were rude, unforgivably so. I recall being treated like utter dirt at reception, in the bar and at breakfast. This was by those who I would assume were the owners. Stayed once, never stayed again. Can only advise you... More

I was locked out of a relatives home due to some miss communication (I dont know the days of the week) so after midnight I had to find somewhere to sleep in walking distance. I chose the Miami Motel as it was closest, would have got a similar room rate around £50 at the travel lodge 1 mile away. I... More

Hotel room smelt of stale cigarettes, a plastic bag was covering the smoke detector which I had to remove. Room very basic and not a good standard of housekeeping Shower very poor Walls in rooms wafer thin, you can here every noise, sound from other rooms, hardly got any sleep as the room next door arrived back at 5am and... Check in was fast and efficient. The staff really are lovely here and made us feel very welcome. Our rooms weren't in the main building of the hotel but were in little two storey buildings adjacent to the main building and we were able to park directly outside our rooms. My room was on the first floor, my colleagues on... More

Stayed here with my sister and elderly father when going to family birthday party in Essex. Reception pleasant and welcoming and check in smooth and efficient. Considering it is close to a busy road our room was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was good and a pleasant environment. There is free WIFI in the reception area and bars. Generally a good place...
