A warm greeting and light hearted atmosphere. Food not gourmet style but excellent pub grub with right portions. Calamari and sea bass much enjoyed as was the focaccia and burger. Fun style of presentation on wooden blocks. Excellent value. Looking forward to the next visit. Lucky to have such a good pub just around the corner.

We stayed at the Inn for two nights and ate there for breakfast and dinner. Being from the US (Seattle Wa) we didn't know what to expect from such a historic establishment, but we can honestly say it was a fabulous experience. The atmosphere was light and goodhearted, the staff was fun and engaging. I love English humour and was... More

Under new management in autumn 2011. We've eaten there on several occasions and the food is first class pub food. The quality is great, with everything cooked to order and really fresh ingredients. Very welcoming and good beer too. Word is getting round so it's worth booking.

I am fortunate that all our neighbours get on well and every so often we get together for a meal and a natter. This time there was twenty of us and we had a wonderful time at the Bull with great food and a happy atmosphere. They were very busy with a least one other large group but still managed... More

Took a large party of 30 here. The staff coped brilliantly, producing a great 3 course meal promptly at a very reasonable price - including coping with a gluten free diet. Highly recommend

We arrived unannounced as a party of 6 with two four year-olds for lunch on Easter Saturday. The welcome was extremely warm, there was an excellent choice of food for both adults and children and it arrived quickly - and was delicious. The waiting staff talked and joked with the children and were charming about a spilled drink. We all... More

About 18 months ago I stopped visiting the Bull after several awful meals, but a few months ago new management have compleltly transformed this pub into a regular pub and what feels like a second home at times. I visit The Bull on a semi-regular basis. More often than not for a spot of lunch. The food is amazing and... More

Went for mothers day lunch and was very impressed with the Bull Inn. Both the food portions were excellent value and meat beautifully cooked, rib and topside, not stingey! Atmosphere and feel was also very good and the waiting staff were funny, attentive and a breath of fresh air. Free mothers day pansies a plus! Welcoming and a great find.... More

We have stayed at this great B and B twice now whilst walkling Bewl Reservoir. It is a fabulous traditional English pub with a roaring fire, well kept beer, great wine and wholesome hearty food. Just what is required after a days walking. The staff are all friendly, helpful and competent willing to cater for your needs. The accommodation is... More
