We picked the location to be near Sedlescombe village to attend a family celebration. Otherwise it's not particularly near anywhere but that won't worry you if you go there to play golf (which we didn't) or spend a few nights just relaxing in the countryside. We walked round the golf course and it looked very pleasant. They also have a... More

After booking a Winetasting experience at the Carr Taylor Vineyard as a present for my girlfriends parents, we decided to make a weekend of it and stay over. Having worked on the construction of the Sedlescombe Golf Hotel in the early days of my career, it was a perfect opportunity to experience some of my work. The bedrooms are lovely,... More

Just back from three half days golf tuition. Have gone from complete novice to having the confidence to actually play. Our instructor, Tim, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Hotel was perfect. It's located away from the main clubhouse and is therefore quiet and private. The rooms are large and well furnished with comfortable large bed. Whilst we only had breakfast... More

I have used the James Andrews Golf school for 3 years and always had a great time. Each year we book the same weekend and it all works out lovely.... except this year. We arrived Friday morning and it was bitterly cold. By 2pm our coach advised us that there was a high possibility of a snow dump coming and... More

We found this place by accident on Lateroom.com. What a find. Friendly and helpful staff and a really lovely room. So different from all the chain hotels. So pleased we stayed on for an extra night. |

Inspired by reviews of other travellers we decided to book a last minute room at the Sedlescombe Golf Hotel a few miles from Hastings. Reception in the clubhouse was very friendly. The (family) room in the lodge was clean, big (separated part of the room with two single beds for the kids), nicely decorated and overlooked the tee-box of hole... More

My wife and I booked a two day James Andrews Golf School with an overnight stay. We booked through Golfbreaks.com. The hotel had a country house feel about it and our room was quite large with a very well appointed en suite. The location was quiet and only a short walk from the golf school. The golf tuition was quite... More

Chose the location as we were going to Hastings the next day. We both play golf so was pleased that 9 holes on the par 3 course was included in the price. After checking in we were able to trade up to 18 holes on the main course. The course is fantastic and it was a bonus to be able... More

Just come back from James Andrews Golf School at Sedlescombe Golf Course understanding why people are hooked on the game. Husband and I went as complete and utter beginners and have come away totally enthused and raring to join a club and get on the course asap. We had 5 half days as beginners, 2 as a group of 3... Stayed here back in March 2011 an intended to leave a review as we were well impressed. The hotel was really nice and incredible value - nice big room, golf course views and clean. It was a ten minutes drive to Hastings sea front, which was also beneficial. The staff were great too - particularly the young gentleman who checked... More
