It's a very pretty, 18th century village pub, set back from the main road. Low beams in the bar mean you need to keep your head down at times, but add to the cozy atmosphere, as does the lack of games machines and one armed bandits. This is a perfect place to stay clean and tidy rooms at good rates. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was great. I had gone for a wedding so didnt get to spend to much time in Burwash but if everyone was as friendly as the staff this would be the perfect place to go for a weekend getaway.... more
