I spent one night at the Lord Mayors Cottage and could not have found anywhere better to stay in the area. Breakfast was excellent.

Vicky is an excellent host and will do her best to help you with local knowledge if she can. Breakfast was excellent, good value for money.

I often stay in Hotels whilst away on business but decided to stay at Lord Mayor's Cottage having looked it up on tripadvisor. I wasn't disappointed - given a well needed cup of tea on arriving and made to feel very welcome.

My husband an I spent 5 days at the Lord Mayor's Cottage and I'm ready to go back. Our Hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about local restaurants and the best places to park for local tourism. Breakfast was cooked to order every morning, from quality ingredients (eat the sausage, it's great!). The room was clean & quiet and the bed... More

A delightful 2 room b&b with great, friendly service. The cottage has a fascinating history (hence the name!) and stunning, extensive gardens. Our room was very comfortable, if a little small. We enjoyed a superb breakfast, and a great evening meal at the nearby hotel / restaurant (easy walking access). Sadly we didnt get enough time to try the punt... More

I have stayed at the Lord Mayors Cottage several time, and always found them to be very welcoming, hospitable and friendly. Lovely cottage, with a lovely garden down to the river. Excellent for walking, fishing or punting on the river. Great food. Highly recommend this B&B.

My mother and I were made to feel part of the family at this wonderful place. A tranquil garden, charming rooms, a superb breakfast, and a warm welcome from the owner, who showed unbounded generosity and kindness towards two weary travellers.

Breakfast was great and the night before we walked over the road to a pub restaurant. We'll be going back again!

We were welcomed by the owner Victoria, she showed us around and instantly made us feel welcome and relaxed after our journey. Nothing was too much trouble she, was discreet and managed to look after all our needs effortlessly. The cottage and grounds are stunning with gardens running down to the river, where her partner Kelsey has a private punt... More

when me and my partner stayed in lords mayor cottage, it was very quiet as the house is far from the main road. Our bedroom looked out onto the beautiful garden, which was very relaxing. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Barton Mills is a beautiful and will definately be returning.
