I enjoyed my stay at The Waverly Hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is close to town and the beach. Room 205 offers a beautiful view of the sea. The restaurant offered a great English breakfast and the pub had a great choice of dinners and were a good deal. We ate dinner and breakfast at the... More

I was taken to the Waverley hotel for a valentines retreat and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in room 203 and I have to agree that the room is indeed dilapidated, run down and in need of some serious love and attention. The bathroom was avacado green (how kitsch) and the carpet threadbare. The... More

After booking this hotel, we read some reviews and expected the very worst! However on arrival we were pleasantly surprised. They have their own car park & the downstairs has been recently renovated to a good standard. The staff are most helpful too. We ate at the hotel and the bar meals are excellent value for money and the chef... More

This is definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I would not even call it a hotel, it is more like a hostel for eastern Europeans. Don't even think about booking this, you are better off pitching a tent on the beach. The rooms are dated, smelly, musty, damp, the only good thing was the bedding, at least... More

Where to start! The room (107) was tatty, wallpaper hanging off the walls, stains on the filthy ceiling, threadbare carpet and a 'bone shaker' of a bed which you had to dodge the springs in. The furniture was old and scruffy. The wadrobe door handle was broken, the trouser press was broken and the TV didn't work. The kettke was... More

We stayed just one night and for the price we paid, it was a nice large room, with two beds for the kids, big bathroom, nice view from the windows and a really luch large breakfast!

I am sat on the bed in room 110 writing this, I can feel the springs sticking into my bottom, I might not get in the bed tonight, I fear it might have fleas. May I now draw your attention to the thread bare carpet, where in parts they have covered it with make shift mats of towels ! The... More

I cannot honestly believed i payed nearly £60.00 to stay in a place that is completely run down. The furniture is all worn out and is SO dated. It is also very creepy. The thing that scared me the most was the toilet and this may sound completely hilarious. but i was actually petrified to go near it and sit... More
