Just returned from weekend break at the Beechwood. It lived up to our expectations. Wonderful hosts, great food and service and a good selection of wines. It is always a bit special when you are greeted as you step out of your car and immediately offered tea and scones. The quality continued at the same level throughout the weekend. A... more

We booked and went on same day so were lucky to get a cancellation. From moment we arrived we were greeted in the car park as we had driven past reception. Owners and staff all made us feel so welcome. When we were tucking into our complimentary cream tea we could here one of the staff singing as she worked.... more

Beechwood Hotel is very comfortable, welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent: often local and fresh, with a wide selection to choose from. We felt very at home here and left feeling very relaxed - a real break from everyday pressures. more

My wife and I were looking for a hotel to spend a few days celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary in the Norfolk area as this is where we first met. We discovered this Hotel on the internet, and after reading the trip advisor comments, we booked and were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived in the car park where... more

From the welcoming phone call when we urgently needed accomodation, to the extremely warm welcome on our arrival, the hotel did not disappoint in any way. Charming staff, a feel of home from home and a lovely room (a ground floor suite) made our short stay one we wish could have been longer. The little touches of inclusive afternoon tea,... more

We first stayed here in the summer and liked it so much we came back for a weekend escape in early October. Don and Lindsay could not be more welcoming and all the staff work really hard to pamper you. Some of the lovely touches include a free afternoon tea, Moulton Brown toiletries, fluffy bathrobes, very comfortable rooms, and canapes... more

Just returned from another super relaxing stay at the Beechwood. If only other hotels could provide the high standards of customer service and value for money that the Beechwood does the Hotel industry in th UK would be in much better shape. Don, Lindsay and their team go to great lengths to ensure that you have a wonderful time at... more

My wife and I stayed with two friends at this charming country hotel for three days. It comes as something of a surprise on reaching the hotel, which is very picturesque, as North Walsham is rather an undistinguished Norfolk town. We were shown to our room, which was fairly small and well, but rather darkly furnished. The bathroom was by... more

My wife and I stayed with two friends at the Beechwood Hotel for three nights in August. We booked this hotel back in June based solely upon comments on Trip Advisor which were all generally positive. We were not disappointed. This hotel is very, very good and you would struggle to find fault with anything. We were welcomed by a... more

This was a wonderful hotel and I've rarely stayed anywhere better. The food was great, beds comfortable and for once the room was quiet and I was able to sleep without earplugs. The proprietor told us that the menu was set (with some choices) but "feel free to ask for anything else you want" extraordinary! Such a shame that the... more
