Ditto 'more 3 star than 4 star' Would rather have stayed at the premier inn in Bishop Auckland with the rest of our family!! Check in was very poor, trying to push an upgrade, weren't given information about breakfast i.e location and times, then directed to room, down hall through double doors at end opposite bar, into lift up to... We stayed here last December for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The grounds are really lovely and the hotel is a really nice building. We were booked into a spa room which was great, very modern with comfy bed, chairs & table & tv etc - it was in the top floor & there was a bottle of... More

We enjoyed our stay. However the food in bar and restaurant was mediocre. We had to queue for a breakfast table. And we walked miles within the hotel getting (via lift and stair) from bar/restaurant/reception /room. The signage was not good within the hotel. The room was fine, but very dark. Bed on the hard side, but big. Porridge saved... More

We visited this hotel as part of a coach party and were really impressed with the size and quality of the building. It is an old 17century Country house hotel. There are suits of armour around the reception area. Our room was amazing and the biggest I've ever stayed in. The MASSIVE bed was so comfortable and we had a... More

Just returned from a night here with a travel zoo offer of bed ,breakfast and evening meal. We opted to upgrade to a spa deluxe room for an extra charge. The entrance up the long drive is impressive with a pick up and drop off turning circle in front of the hotel reception however the car park is quite a... More

We went to the Redworth Hall Hotel for a two night break - Sat-Mon. The hotel was full on the Saturday due to holding two weddings, but we did not suffer any noise or other inconvenience from these. Check-in was efficient, and we noticed that assistance with luggage was readily available for those who asked. We were in a double... More

Very disappointed by the service here. When we checked in as a group of four the receptionist made everyone wait while we all checked in - one at a time, nothing in parallel. When asked, we were told this was so that we would be shown to our rooms together. In the end being "shown to our rooms" was simply... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments. I offer my sincerest apologies for the delays you experienced during your stay with us. I was pleased to read, however, that despite the waiting problems, your meals were of a good standard. Rest assured that occurences such as these are rare and I would therefore like to investigate this further so as... More

Full of history, very nice park, old and nice manor with some "as it was" rooms. A more recent section in the back. Very nice Spa and swimming pool (from the outside - I didn't go). One observation though: that place needs a deep cleaning and refreshment so there is no doubt about the 4 stars.
