Friendly but professional staff under excellent management. Well appointed, warm, spacious, clean accommodation with lovely shower rooms. Very good buffet-style breakfasts and varied choice dinner menu - served by competent waiting staff. Overall, a most enjoyable stay. More

Stayed here just for one night whilst working in Darlington. Really nice large room and even though on the side of the A1 it was totally quiet. The Aston is a top quality hotel giving tremendous value. If you're looking for an overnight stop on the A1 while maybe travelling north or south this is the place. Smiley friendly staff and excellent food also . Rooms spotless and comfy beds not forgetting free wifi ,no rip off here. Highly recommended . More

My husband and I stayed overnight on the Beamish deal. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the evening meal was delicious, you helped yourself to breakfast and got just what you wanted. Would stay again and next time for the 2 nights. More

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights 12/13 April having previously stayed at their Dumfries hotel although a different type of hotel probably geared up for business people stopping on route it is however a very well run hotel, spotlessly clean,friendly professional staff and good food, what every hotel should be.
