Actually we were traveling to Waynad. But as we were tired of driving, we planned to stay in PGV by reading trip advisor reviews. The bamboo cottages were very clean. Rooms were very simple, neatly furnished. You sit in balcony and can enjoy the beauty of nature with every sip of tea. Kabini flows on the other side of the... More

PGV is located nicely, adjacent to Kuruva Island and very close to Tholpetty and Bawali forests. Ideal for trekkers in forests. Very peaceful. We were two couples with kids. Journey from Bangalore via Mysore and Nagarahole was uneventful. The Nagarahole road was not bad, but has many bumps some of them difficult to negotiate. We stayed in Ginger-Garlic twin bamboo... If you go there, it is to discover another India. The place is great, getting around is fantastic. This hotel is much expensive for what they have to offer. It is not dirty but not clean. They ask you if they have to clean the room and they don't really know how to manage with non indian tourists (most tourists... More

We went for a New Year's vacation and loved every minute there. Our largely bamboo finished cottage sat up in the trees amidst jackfruit, pepper vines, and abundance flowers. We spent delightful early mornings and evenings sitting on our balcony overlooking rice paddies and the river. Our room was both rustically romantic and clean (no bugs). The service was warm... More

First of all - Waynad is a great place. All the natural beauty of western ghats has been captured by Waynad. This resort is just 90 KM from Mysore. The drive is great except for the last stretch. You are bound to see some wildlife on your way. The resort is clean and basic - the service stands out. Food... More
