Having wheelchair facilities, warm comfortable room, enjoyable restraunt, bar and store in such a remote location was a bonus, as was the friendly staff who directed us to lookouts and areas where we could get reasonable views of the pound from wheelchair and car. The wildlife was everywhere and the whole experience was worth the hours of driving.

The Pound itself is a fascinating spot - lots of walking tracks within very easy reach of the resort. The resort itself was quiet when we were there but the rooms are good, the staff go out of their way to help, and the meals are good, if somewhat large! We were on a package which included a very interesting... More

Great to find everything you need so close to an amazing geological feature in the middle of nowhere. Fantastic walks to do from the resort and it feels so luxurious to return to a comfortable room with everything you need and stroll to the relaxing bistro with excellent food. The quandong crumble with lemon Myrtle ice-cream is a must. St... More

We were very pleasantly surprised by the standards of accommodation, dining and service we experienced at this resort in mid April; being in a National Park and relatively remote we had worried about the standards we would find there but we worried needlessly. We booked a deluxe Heysen room (59), which was perfect for our needs. The room was located... More

I was initially unsure about staying in this campground, as it had limited views of Wilpena Pound and I wanted to see it from my door! But, the facilities at the campground were great, and the area for un-powered sites is spacious enough that you don't have people on your doorstep. Perfect! Nice level sites, clean ablutions, fantastic shop and... More

We stayed in an Edeowie deluxe room which was nicely decorated. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is an outdoor area with a table for each unit. If you come in the hot weather, I would recommend reserving one which has shade in the afternoon. The staff were very helpful.

Hullo there Thank you for your review, we really appreciate our guests giving us some feedback as to how they enjoyed their stay here at the resort. We certainly agree that the Edeowie and Heysen deluxe rooms are great for couples as well as families allowing guests to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. I hope that you also enjoyed... More

We stayed in a Heysen room which was very roomy and comfortable. There was bedding for 5 though we only needed two. It included a toaster as well as the usual electric jug, and crockery and cutlery so we were able to make simple breakfasts and pack lunches for day trips, saving considerably on meal costs. The on site bar... More

rooms were good, pool refreshing and staff helpful. The roos are friendly but sadly because they are suffering from drought do attempt to steal or beg for food, understandable, but there need to be signs advising unaware people of the problems they will suffer if fed wheat products like bread. suggest that pellets are provided to avoid people inadvertantly causing... Excellent accommodation and pool very welcome as we were there in February. We stayed in a quiet time and staff were good, especially Scott (the pilot) who went out of his way to organise a Sunset tour (at late notice) for us that the Resort were not actually running that day.

A great 'little' resort. Quiet and remote, but with very comfortable accommodation, and good facilities and a beautiful setting with the colourful bluffs of the Pound as a backdrop making sunrises spectacular. It seems like a small resort, but the accommodation ranged from cabins and rooms through to a camp ground across the creek, all spread out through the bush.... More
