When I first arrived at CTBH I was greeted by the enthusiatic reception stafff. I was directed to my room which was horrible. I was in a room with four other girls and basic is not the word. It was pretty depresssing.
HOWEVER, the location is fabulous, straight down to the beach (beautiful) and fantastic views from there. Many of...

My trip to Cape Tribulation was supposed to have been for one day; I ended up staying for 6. I met a German and French couple who stayed an extra week, on top of the 2 days they already extended. This resort is a get-away. If you want a massive party, stay at PKs just down the road or be...

Spent 4 days at CTBH and what a wonderful place. Nestled in the rain forest and on the beach. It is very secluded and has beautiful beach walks and rainforest walks to watering holes. The food was great. Fresh and daily menu changes. Rooms basic, but everything you need there. Totally loved the experience.
I suppose you get what you pay for and for these prices I wasn't expecting much. We had a cabin right by the beach, which meant that it was a long trek from the car park with our luggage. It was fine going down to the cabin, but dragging a heavy bag back uphill when it's raining, hot and very...

We loved this spot. The accommodation was basic but fine, but the rooms/bungalows are all surrounded by rainforest. The pool similarly forms part of the ambience of the place. Better still, we went kayaking in the morning and managed to see a dugong, and understand others saw rays, sharks and turtles. Definitely worth the trip up and something we would...

I love the Beach House, staff are wonderful and so is the food. We stayed in a double cabin with ensuite, really spacious. This place is right on the beach, I call it lobster beach as I always find lobster shells on it.
Great walk up to the lookout, just picturesque.
It has a mix of backpackers, couples and families...

During a recent stay at the Hilton hotel in Cairns Australia my wife and I visited the Tourist Info office located in the office space that is leased outside of the main hotel lobby. We normally book all hotels and car rentals on the internet to avoid any problems and save money. Internet access is very rare here and it...

We stayed at the Cape Trib Beach house for a couple of days. We wanted a quiet getaway in what was quoted in their brochure 'a Private and Luxurious beach front Cabin', Well let me tell you there was nothing Luxurious about the cabins!!!! I would expected more for $180 per night. There was a lot of Kitchen noise which...
