This was the first time we have ever been to these cottages (Rosy Finch) was absoutely beautiful. Very clean and very nice and quiet. Good fishing lakes all around and lots of hiking to do. For the people who say there is too many rules, this is not a party pad. You come here for rest and relaxation. Staff was... More

My husband and I stay at Cheeckako Cabins at least once a year. We find the owners extremely welcoming, especially as they are dog friendly. Other reviewers may complain about the rules, but we have never found the rules to be prohibitive. They are reasonable, and require that guests use common sense, and treat the buildings, furnishings and other amenities... More

We inquired about renting all the cabins and some staying at a nearby campground. We were told outright that there are no visitors. Even in prison you are allowed visitors. We were planning a family reunion but will not even consider this place. The person we talked to on the phone should practice her phone manners.

Our family had such a wonderful stay at Cheechako cabins. The one thing we loved best was that they don't allow visitors it was wonderful not having people driving by and no loud parties. They have exceptional cabins and are very pristine. Very friendly and beautifully set-up. What a place to stay to enjoy the peace and quiet away from... More

This business has very unreasonable rules for guests, and is very willing to threaten their guests with fines, legal action or vigilante justice for not obeying rules (i.e. wash all dishes or you will be fined AT MINIUMUM $50, do not be one minute late for check out, or you will be fined a full day of rent, etc.) I... Dear Sir; Thank you for writing about your concerns but I am not sure you stayed here as there is no record of a Chuck L. staying here between June and September or anyone whose last name began with L. except for a French gentleman from Quebec. If your reservation was under another name then I apologize. I must assume... More

This was my second time staying at Cheechako Cabins and it was exactly what I experienced the first time. The cabins are absolutely beautiful, I think hand crafted by the owner (not sure about this). Everything is spotlessly clean and well kept. They come equipped with everything you need for a mountain getaway. I disagree with a previous reviewer about... More

Dear Wild Wilbur, Thank you for the wonderful review that you wrote for us! The cabins were indeed built by ourselves with no outside help unless you consider friends and family who chipped in with framing, etc. over the years as well as my uncle from Winnipeg who did all the tree carvings on the property as well as the... We were surprised at how well equipped and clean the cabins were, owners friendly and the dogs very sociable especially if you fed them, very well mannered. Enjoyed the quiet & peace of the area, able to hike to different areas thanks to being provided with maps and clear instructions. Thought the stories hilarious and asked for a copy, need... More

Stayed in Nordegg at the Cheechako cabins for two nights in August 2010. The cabins are nice and well kept. They are well supplied and the owners are very friendly. The cabins are nicer than the pictures on the website even! One and only conplaint was the "true stories" in the guest guide. These stories lack taste. In running any... More
