We booked a special offer (thank goodness as full price for this place would be a real insult) with a view to attending a friends birthday party. While the party didn't go ahead because of the wintry weather we decided to keep our booking. Check in was unfriendly with staff or friends of staff loitering in the area. More concerning... more

The hotel is well located, not so far from Brighton. We had a very good price (advanced purchase rate) at 58,50 £ including english breakfast. Our room was nice, clean, large and confortable. The only weak point could be that it was located on the first floor just facing the road, meaning that it can be a problem for people... more

I only went to the Old Toll House for Sunday lunch. What a great meal! The staff were very attentive, food great and the price was reasonable. Being vegan I sometimes struggle to have my dietry needs catered for. To the staff here this wasn't a problem. Would highly recommend lunch here but beware, with the choices on offer your... more

We stayed on 20th April 2009 & paid £76.50 incl breakfast. A bit more than we had been paying throughout our 5 week trip but not too bad for the area. Our room was very comfortable & clean and well appointed. There is also free onsite parking. We were visiting family in the area so we didn't get to sample... more

The hotel is situated in Bramber, close to Steyning and ideal for touring the Downs and south coast resorts of Brighton, Worthig, Shorham etc.. The hotel was well run with extremely friendly and welcomoing staff. Our bedroom was relatively large, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was a carvery, which we were told was renowned. Having had a meal there we... more

A nice little 3-star hotel. Friendly staff. We booked pretty late (2 days before a bank holiday) - for around £60 for a twin room very reasonable. Of course, the ubiquitous wedding took place on Saturday night, but as the reception staff pointed out, their license is only until midnight and miraculously, at that time, all noise did cease! The... more

Pleasant room, reasonable size, clean and quiet, average price. Surprise to see blankets on the bed rather than a duvet. However typical of the hotel, which seemed a bit dated, but service good. The food in the carvery was a bit variable. Some of our party had lamb shank that was a bit tough, but my rabbit was lovely. The... more
