We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly , the food in the pub was good and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would we stay here again or recommend it ? definitely

Never one to miss a potential bargain, visited the Nelson for the Over 60s lunch, which is served on Tuesdays. The food was excellent and a real bargain for the area, staff polite and friendly and the place was clean and tidy. It is a real pleasure to see that the Nelson under the new ownership now approaches the standard...

Enjoyed this well kept hotel with a stylish bedroom and equally well kept bar staff. The locals are very friendly, a bit chatty, excellent sweet and sour chicken balls and a good breakfast. No karaoke (shame). The rural setting is picturesque - saw an enormous dragonfly (beautiful) and interesting places are close by amongst the little shops and bungalows well...

We attended the restaurant for a meal with friends for dinner... Great food, great service, nice location... A great competitor to the Hoste Arms...
We stayed one night and when we were shown to our room it was freezing cold but they
quickly turned on an electric radiator. We were told the heating is on a timer, not very good when you are expecting guests to book in. We had a lovely meal in the dining room, what a shame it was so cold...

We have stayed last week in The Nelson pub, for 3 days. The room is furnished contemporary and nice, bathroom is ok. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We just ate dinner there once the first night, but not because the food wasn't good, we just like to try different places. We had an amazing baked Camembert for starter...

A two night break without the teenagers! Our room was separate to the main building and looked recently renovated, slightly confused over identity - modern or traditional, but fresh and clean. The pub was the larger of the two in the village but lacked the real fire the smaller one had - which is a shame as everything else was...

We only stayed one night as we were attending a nearby 50th Birthday Party on a very cold early February night. We were shown to Room no.1 attached to the main building. Unfortunately the heating was only switched on shortly after we arrived and so the room was freezing. This was not helped by the gaps around the sash window...

The service here is outstanding. When I have asked for a milk-alternative as a special request when booking a room it usually doesn't happen-here they not only remembered it was just provided at our first breakfast without any prompts.Nothing is too much trouble. Everything is spotless and the fresh white bed linen and towels are comfortable and of good quality. The...

Visited Burnham Market for the Christmas lights switch on. The rooms have been refurbished, since our last stay - Modern, clean, comfortable, spacious and warm.
We booked the two 'rooms' (Montague & Nightingale) across the car park, which were perfect for our needs, parking literally outside. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. On arrival as soon as it...
