Good stop-off point for peak district, we found the room quiet clean and spacious. Nice views too! Recommended.

We recently stayed for two nights when we attended a family party, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We ate there on one evening, and the food was good, the breakfasts were excellent and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The only slight complaints were that the walls were very thin in the...

lovely area, lovely and clean inn; very comfortable room (albeit did not enjoy the fun guy behind the shower door), lovely people - shame about the food. I booked this after reading previous reviews for excellent food, however, we were not impressed at all. The vegetables were the blandest I have ever had. My roasted vegetables tart consisted of just...

Lovely location. Food very good, and breakfast superb. What really made the weekend for us was the service provided by Richard - head waiter. As mentioned in a previous review, nothing is too much trouble for him, and his customer service skills are excellent. We shall certainly return.
As other reviewers have noted it's an excellent venue. Friendly helpful value for money, lovely rooms, excellent food and choice and excellent breakfast. I've written this as we had an emergency family issue and had to be local. We were greeted with concern looked after and asked if there was anything further they could do....

We have just returned from a wonderful two night stay at The Waltzing Weasel. The food was delicious (although I think the side order choice of potatoes was limiting for a girl who enjoys her rice/pasta). The room we stayed in (no.5) was fanstastic, such a comfortable bed, very clean & lovely views of Kinder. The hospitality was ever better,...

We had a very enjoyable stay when we stayed here for the weekend. The room was clean and tidy and the four poster bed was enormous. We ate in the restaurant the first night and the food was tasty well cooked and generous sized portions. In the morning the breakfasts were equally generous sized. All the staff were friendly and...
