Had a lovely time at Makeney Hall Hotel. The food and service was excellent. The grounds were lovely. The room was clean the bed was a little lumpy but we had a good night sleep the fountain in the courtyard was very relaxing! We would go there a again tnrough Living Social.

Stayed for a two day pre-weekend trip and loved it. Huge room, free-standing bath, lots of hot water, comfortable beds - very relaxing! The room was full of period features and was clean and warm. Just had a wonderful weeks stay at Makeney Hall. Excellent staff, helpful and friendly. Location is great with good walking all around. Beautiful country gardens and large reception rooms. Had a delicious dinner in the garden room overlooking the gardens in the evening with family, we felt very special. Will be back next year thank you Gemma. Vancouver/Canada

Stayed here overnight as I was in Derbyshire on business. Very good staff, the hotel was like a Country House.
