Rosegarth is in a great location with lovely estuary views. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast was a fantastic start to the day. The real star though is Neil, who is the ideal B&B host - friendly and helpful, doing everything possible to make our stay perfect. He provided a map and suggested walks to supplement our steam railway... More

The lakes district was the last place on our to do list and we had left it open so we had no booking, ther were 5 of us including two couples and a young teen. The family room was booked but Neil was able to set us all up very comfortably. He was great host with lots of local knowledge... More

A bit of a disappointment when looking at all the other 5-star reviews, which might have pushed my expectations a bit too high. Neil is a fantastic host and his staff are very friendly and helpful. We asked for hiking advice and Neil was very helpful in providing us with a map and some advice on the more 'off-the-beaten tracks'.... More

I have been coming to stay at Rosegarth for many years now - it is by far the nicest and most comfortable B & B in this part of the world. I recommend it to all travellers who visit this part of coastal Cumbria - everything about it is superlative and I can say no more.

I stayed at Rosegarth with a friend whilst on a weekend motorcycling trip to the lakes. I'd definitely return and would recommend the guest house to the closest of friends. The guest house sits in a beautiful location overlooking the Ravenglass estuary / natural harbour to the west of the lake district within striking distance of the Duddon Valley, Eskdale... More

Rosegarth is a little gem, great views of the lovely estuary at Ravenglass, rooms are very clean and comfortable and the great cumbrian breakfast was a real treat. The owner is very friendly and was very knowledgeable of the local area and offers walkers the use of his maps. Another plus is the private parking available at the rear of... More

We were cycling Hadrian's Wall Cycleway starting from Ravensglass. We were able to lock our bikes in a shed at the back of the house. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Ravenglass is a lovely village. The b&b is convenient with the Pennington Arms close by for dinner and a drink. We were only there one... More

Visited this Guest House on a train holiday around North of England. Romm looked out onto sea and confluence of three rivers. Breakfast presented like a Da Vinci painting. Comfortable room. Excellent host. Worth a return trip.

Location overlooking the Ravenglass Estuary is stunning. The room, the furnishings and en-suite, were of a very high standard, and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best ever. Really helpful and friendly owner. With the added bonus of a good value bar meal with well-kept Cumberland Bitter, in front of a roaring fire at the nearby Ratty Arms, this... More

From the moment we arrived, despite the chilling November dampness outside, we felt the warmth of Neil's welcome and from that moment we felt at home. Rosegarth is such a lovely guest house. It's right on the edge of the estuary overlooking the sand dunes and the distant Irish Sea (and the sunsets at the right time of year!). The... More
