We've stayed here many times, and, enjoy every moment of every visit. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are lovely and very knowledgeable about the area, and, the food is brilliant. Fantastic breakfasts, very filling bar snacks and a lovely evening menu. The different night themes are really good value too, curry night, steak night etc. We've also enjoyed the... More

We stayed at the Cross Keys for the weekend and enjoyed not only the great hospitality but the excellent accommodation in this lively, friendly and extremely popular hotel. As we were visiting with a friend, we booked two rooms, one with a four poster king sized bed and a huge bathroom with his and hers wash hand basins, corner bath... More

A landlord with less charisma than a scorpion who is clueless regarding the serving of a good pint. Avoid like the plague

We did not stay at the hotel, just popped in for a drink. Only one very bored member of staff and a very rude manager. Not family friendly AT ALL! Hasn't been decorated since the early 1980s judging by the wallpaper. Ok for a drink if you're desperate!

After finding the website for the Cross Keys Hotel not that helpful I decided to phone them to find exactly where the 2 bedroomed cottage was in comparison to the hotel. The guy was really helpful and even convinced me to change my booking from the cottage to the hotel as it would be better suited for my mother's walking... More

My stay at this hotel was one i'd rather forget. My husband and I checked in without so much as a smile or any kind of greeting or eye contact. From the get-go we felt like the unwanted guests. At first I thought the guy was an unfriendly one-off jobsworth type so was very surprised to discover he owned the... More

I have stayed at the Cross Keys for the last 3or 4 years,it has always been a warm and friendly place to stay. The food is fine and good value for money, the rooms are always clean and tidy upon arrival and also a suprisingly large size. The only reason for me leaving this review is because of the comments i... More

As the name implies, the Hotel is located on a crossroads, so wherever you are you are overlooking a road or a car park. The rooms are above the bar and restaurant area and near the Function Rooms, but the noise is not intrusive. The place is busy with weddings, birthday parties etc., so not ideal if you are looking... Everything you could ever want for a weekend break. Friendly staff, clean and well kept in both public areas and bedrooms. Food was superb and excellent value for money. Obviously a favourite of the locals, who were very friendly and welcoming. Every man's dream when it comes to Sky Sports, there is even a television in the well designed smoking... More
