Dropped in for a meal having seen it recommended in the Lap Top good pub guide - great food and very helpful staff - thoroughly enjoyed our meal and pudding - definitely recommend a visit

We had a spacious and perfectly comfortable twin room at the White Lion. Stayed for an evening meal - which was excellent and with very generous portions. Good breakfast and really good service.

White Lion Ale was awesome, dinner was harty and good. Breakfast excellent. The room was perfectly adequate.

We stopped off here after a walk up Place Fell. Only had a pint of lager, but staff were very helpful. I visited the ladies toilet, which I have to say is wonderful! It was very clean, looked quite new. The view from the small window in the ladies toilet is amazing!

Been coming to this pub for years and still love it. Staff always friendly and cracking food after a days walking. Can get quite busy so make sure you get there early and defo try the sticky toffee pudding.
