Staff were friendly and the pub has a great deal of character in a nice village. But cannot recommend the food we had at all. Meat was poor quality and veg tasted very strange served in a vinegar dressing. Yorkshire puds had been burnt to a cinder. Toilets were also not very clean.

We stayed in Broughton in Furness for a week and the Black Cock Inn was where we spent most of our evenings enjoying wonderful food, excellent refreshments and great hosts.
