The only slight problems were the lack of a shower in the bathroom and the mattress didn't quite fit the four poster frame and as a consequence the pillow kept "disappearing" into the gap which didn't make for a very comfortable nights rest. The place is beautiful and was my favorite of all places I stayed. I was soloing the Coast to Coast bicycle route. Laura and Richard were the best! They are very "green" and use only local goods. Booked in for two nights and found the hotel to be very welcoming. Rooms were average size with everything you could need, but obviously compromised in places by it being a very old building.
