Stayed over last weekend for an anniversary. A beautiful building, lovely staff and having dined in the restaurant on Saturday night, excellent food. Our room was excellent and clean. We opted for the inclusive rate that included dinner - great value for money. Small but lovely grounds - the cream tea and scones went down very well! Also visited the... More

We're just back from a two night stay at the hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and always made an effort to ensure our needs were catered for, this included recommendations for nearby places to visit and asking whether we needed anything during our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant on Friday and Saturday - both nights the food... More

I cannot speak highly enough of this small establishment. Stayed Sun 12th May /Mon 13th May. Mock Elizabethan, this fine, cosy hotel was built by the Rothschilds originally to accommodate the architect & engineers working on the Manor which is, of course, the main attraction to this village. Enthusiastic, welcoming staff who, without exception, are happy in their work and... More

We stayed at the Five Arrows in mid-April for two nights on a very well priced Travelzoo break. We were very pleased with the whole experience. We were warmly greeted upon check-in and throughout our stay received very good service. Our room was at the top and overlooking the main road. Yes, it's a bit of a climb and, yes,... More

We were so excited about our stay at The Five Arrows, but it was an awful stay. The room was charming enough, but there were manifold issues that resulted in one of the most miserable nights stay we've ever had. First off, dinner in the restaurant was good enough, but the service was truly horrible. It took FOREVER even to... More

MJ M We are confused as to this review posted for a stay nearly a year ago, containing information that we have no way of validating and would have responded to immediately at the time, and held a record of until the matter was entirely resolved. Please do get in touch directly with me at the hotel. We are delighted... More

We have now visited the Five Arrows on 3 occasions for Sunday lunch, it is one of our favourite places for an excellent traditional roast lunch! The restaurent is delightfully old fashioned, the 3 course lunch excellent (except for turnips featuring on the veg plate on one occasion)

We had an overnight stay at this hotel as it was my husbands birthday. The hotel has only 11 bedrooms and we were very welcomed on arrival and staff were excellent, it was clean, friendly and perfect for our stay. Our bedroom was slightly small but wasn't a problem as spent alot of time sightseeing at the local Waddeson Manor... More

Stayed here one night on business. The property is very impressive, staff super helpful and the food first class.....and not too badly priced. The building is old but still very well presented. I was in room 5 and the only negative is that it is very near to the road (main A41) so a lot of road noise all night,... More

Dear Kev-B-Lin Thank you very much for your comments on the welcoming service and well-presented building. With regard to the windows, in reponse to guest feedback we have had the glazier in to measure them for their triple glazing and are now waiting for stage one of fitting to begin on all windows at the front of the hotel. Hope... More

We stayed here for 1 night as we got a great deal from secret escapes. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was situated in the converted stables. It was very quiet, clean and beautifully furnished. Large bathroom with a shower over the bath with a very small screen (floor got very wet!) and the water pressure was a... More

My wife booked us in for my birthday. The service was excellent from checking in to checking out. We stayed in the fabulous room 3. The dining experience and service was impeccable, and we decided to treat ourselves to breakfast in bed ( superb ) I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and will definitely be visiting again.
