I travelled to Valladolid with a group of 9 other students and 2 teachers with the intent of learning Spanish. I don't understand the reviews that talk about hotel staff being rude or unpleasant. They were always helpful and friendly, and were constantly worried about staying out of the way, but giving me whatever I wanted at the same time.... more

Ecotel provided a necessary rest place for two travel and heat weary victims of Montezuma's Revenge. Despite years of safe and healthy travel, we let down our guard and left Progresso and Merida quite ill. The two hour drive to Vallodolid nearly finished us off, but a day and night at Ecotel set things right. Very pretty, quiet and cool.... more

The hotel is locates just few block fron downtown, but it great since you dont get a noisy room likeothers on the main plaza, this is my second stay in Valladolid, last one we stayed in a hotel located in daowntown and we could not sleep because of noise!, TOO CRITICAL NOISE! The Quinta Regia is a beautiful hotel, Colonial... more

This hotel promises peace and tranquility, but does not deliver. It could be a quite nice place because the building and space itself are ok, but the service is so incredibly bad and the personnel so insensitive and rude, that any hope for a tranquil vacation turns quickly into hell. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are clean but poorly equipped... more

After arriving in town and trying to find a hotel away from the busy town square we stumbled upon the Ecotel. After being shown our room we jumped on the chance to stay there. Every detail had been taken care of in the room, the decor was authentic and not "tacky" and the staff were great. After a lovely dinner... more

This hotel is on the edge of town and might be a good choice if you are travelling by car. However, it is a bit far to walk to the center, and the center is the reason you would stop here. We had a nice room, but the service was chaotic. The management needs to pay more attention to details.... more

Really nice grounds, and a 10 or more minute walk into town, but really, just a hotel. Out of the center of town, away from stuff going on, just a place to rest your head. Inferior breakfast and we had no other meals there. Considering the cost, really not worth it. Stay somewhere closer in to town. more

Ecotel Quinta Regia in Valladolid Well i booked 2 rooms for two nights for our trip to Merida, a good halfway point to driving there to rest as it takes 5-6 hours from Cancun area. The first stay was fairly pleasant. Rooms adequate, but super noisey. You could hear everyone leaving in the morning with the heavy door closing and... more
