This was the first Hotel Zar I encountered back in 2009. My wife and I revisited in 2011. It is a first-rate hotel with an elegant and simple Russian motif. The hotel is located just off of Mexican federal highway 15 in Tepic. I had stayed at the Zar just off of highway 15 in Culiacan, Sonora in April and had a very good experience so we planned to stay here on our way through Tepic.
